Reba should be the poster child for why we need stricter breeding legislation! We have every hope that under that filthy, matted coat there is a beautiful little red poodle. She has been used for nothing but breeding and has not even had minimal grooming or hygeinic care. Please check back for the after photos!

OK - so there was no raving beauty under the mats- but no one looks their best when practically skinned! There was no salvageable coat on the poor thing. She is so much happier though and has a wonderful perky little personality. She will make a great little companion for someone who can visualize what a beauty she will be on the outsdie when she grows some fur- she is already beautiful on the inside!

Ritzy Rescue and Posh Puppy are programs created by CVRR to feature Purebred and Designer dogs. Many of our purebreds are rescued from local puppy mills; some are surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them. Designer dogs (blended breeds of highly desirable breeds) are sometimes found in local kill shelters, surrendered to us by backyard breeders and occasionally just dumped off near our foster homes.

All of our Ritzy and Posh dogs are in need of loving, nurturing homes. Many of them come to us with a serious lack of socialization, malnourished, unvaccinated and desperately in need of grooming and dental care. We place them in foster homes, attend to their physical and emotional needs and begin the process of finding suitable forever homes.
